Ahmedabad: A 24-year-old man suspected of trying to rape his 17-year-old cousin at his home in Ranip City on Thursday afternoon, a police officer said on Friday.
According to the police, the crime occurred when the parents of the girl and the man went to the Chandkheda area to attend a careful meeting.
When the defendant knew that the girl was in her house with her sister, she called her aunt and told her that she had met an accident near her house and wanted to rest because of pain.
His aunt told him to go to his house, rest and stay with his cousin’s brothers and siblings.
“He went to the house and told him that he was hungry.
He made some food for him and after taking food, he acted as if he was sleeping,” said a police officer Ranip.
The clerk said that when he found that the girl was alone in her room, she broke into her room and tried to increase her.
When he began to persecute him, he screamed with help and domestic assistance working at his home, rushed there and saved the girl from him.
He ran to another room and closed him inside to save himself from several neighbors who also rushed to hear Hue and cried.
Somehow, he found the chance and escaped from there.
After an hour, when someone else left his house, he came back there and harassed the victim threatening him with terrible consequences.
Afraid of this incident, the girl with her younger brother went to his friend’s house near the Ranip Vegetable Market.
When his parents returned from the Obituated meeting, they found their house locked.
They called their daughter who told them the incident to them.
After that, they took him to the police ranip and filed a complaint of persecution and Pocso (protecting children against sexual violations).
The defendant was held from his house on Thursday night.
