Bhubaneshwar: Minister of Education Union Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday when visiting the birthplace of Saint Poet Bhima Bhoi in Rairakhol in the Sambalpur District suggested the Grants University (UGC) commission to conduct extensive research on the Philosophy of the Mahima Dharma and put it as part of a scholar (UG curriculum) and Postgraduate (PG).
Bhima Bhoi is a great philosopher of the Mahima Dharma.
The essence of Mahima Cult, a humanist cult, can be found in the writings of the 19th century poet.
His famous quote, “witnessed most fate on earth, how people can bear it; let the world be redeemed at my cost,” it has been written on the walls of the UN organization (UNO) in various languages.
Pradhan gave rich respect for Poet and Saint sculptures and joined the procession in RAIRAKHOL.
“Today all over the world needs to adopt the philosophy of Bhima Bhoi.
The inclusion of the idea and philosophy in the curriculum of the course will be a real award for big philosophers,” the Union Minister said.
He said the research would be carried out on the philosophy and the steps of Bhima Bhoi would be taken to pay homage to this Saint-Poet at the national and international level.
“The Bhima Bhoi chair will be established in various state and foreign universities for deeper research on the philosophy.
With this effort, the idea and philosophy produced from the holy place back can reach world hearings,” he added.
The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Bhubaneswar, which is considered a university, has established the Bhima Bhoi chair and a research center to promote higher studies and research on the life and works of this Saint-Poet.
Gangadhar Meher University (GMU) Sambalpur has also formed a Bhima Bhoi research seat to conduct interdisciplinary research in the Arena of Social Sciences including Dalit Literature / Literature Creation and will design solutions made specifically for the challenges faced by marginalized parts.
