Panaji: Count Covid-19 Daily State between the first and second waves dipped in about 30 new cases a day before spiking earlier this year.
Over the past few months, while daily infections fell below 150, the daily number had floated around the 80-100 mark.
“This might be a new baseline, and we will watch it for a few months.
We have to wait for new guidelines from central agents and who,” said the Epidemiology of the State Dr.
Utkarsh Betodkar.
“In any epidemic, the plateau is achieved when the case goes down.
While in small set-ups like the village, even after the plague, the case will touch zero, but not the same when it comes to pandemic, the plateau will remain for a longer time,” he said.
The case of the country’s case is around 2% in most days for more than a month.
As on Friday, the cumulative calculation of the Covid-19 case is 1,76,515.
While the lowest daily count last month was 29 on September 11, a decrease in infection could be associated with the initial Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
‘No fresh outbreak reported’ on September 12, as many as 38 cases reported.
After the superficial decline, a marginal increase was proven by cases between 80 and 100 reported every day.
While most of the centers saw less than 50 active cases, several cities have witnessed on-and-off flare-ups.
Margao’s urban health center constantly saw a case increase, with more than 100 kasels.
While the Panaji Center reported one to five fresh infections a day, the kasel remained under 80 years.
Betodkar said that the trend would continue and that there were no fresh outbreaks reported in every part of the country recently.
