New Delhi: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) said on Saturday that it had taken more than a dozen non-moving assets of a man who was punished for the Hooch tragedy who claimed 21 living in Bihar in 2012.
The action was carried out by the agency under the prevention of money laundering law (PMLA ) To Sanjay Pratap Singh, his wife Kiran Devi and Srikumar Singh Associate.
A total of 15 non-moving properties include lower construction buildings, brick kilns and 13 plots of total value RS 1.31 Crore involved in this case.
This property was previously attached by the agency as part of the money laundering case filed against the defendant.
Sanjay Pratap Singh and the others were first ordered by police Bihar after the Hooch tragedy in which 21 people died in Ara and Nawada from the Bhojpur District in Bihar by consuming poisonous alcohol in 2012.

“In 2011, with the intention to legalize its polluted income from this trade, Sanjay Pratap Singh formed a unregistered company, namely the Bhojpur wine trader to wash the results of crime,” he said.
He is a “key person” in a company that only manages his business affairs, he said.
