Vadodara: Former Captain Baroda Connor Williams, who also worked as a voter for Baroda Cricket Association (BCA), has taken a new role this season.
Williams has joined the Senior Cricket Team Andhra Pradesh as a coach for the coming season.
The 48-year-old Southpaw Cricketer looks for the role and takes training assignments.
“I recently completed coaching level II at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Taking assignments as coaches is part of the course.
I have approached several state cricket associations and finally focused on the Association of Cricket Andhra,” Williams told Toi.
This is his first job as coach of the Ranji Cricket team outside BCA.
When asked why he chose coaching, Williams said, “as my job voter was satisfying, but I wanted to play a role in maintaining Cricketers.

Williams began a first-class career in 1995-96 and then played 124 first-class matches in his duty that lasted 15 years.
He scored 7,492 running an average of almost 40 which included 19 centuries and 42 half a century.
His appearance with bats in the Irani Cup in 2001 took him in the spotlight and he was elected in the Indian team for a tour of South Africa soon after.
He was also chosen for the English test series but he could not arrive at play eleven.
Williams called it a day and announced his retirement from Cricket in 2011.
He was the backbone of the Baroda team Ranji for a long time and then functions as a voter Ranji too.
