Dubai: Tropical Cyclone Shaheen Bored in Oman on Sunday, encouraged the authorities to postpone flights to and from the capital, Muscat, and to urge coastal residents to evacuate coastal areas.
The storm was around 60 km (40 miles) from the Muscat and it brought a wind over 120 kph (75 mph) or more, a joint statement by the danger of the country, weather and the civil aviation agency.
The storm center is expected to hit the ground during the afternoon and evening, bring very high winds and heavy rainfall, but the outer ribbon system has been felt.
The National Emergency Committee said the power supply would be cut in Al-Qurm, east of the capital, to avoid accidents.
Most of five million people export oil lives in and around Muscat.
