New Delhi: Char Chinar, an iconic tourist spot in the middle of Lake Dal in Srinagar, is set to regain his glory which is rather faded after decaying three of the magnificent four Chinar trees from where the island gets its name.
The government of Jammu & Kashmir has decided to translate three Chinar trees which are planted completely from other places to places on the island where the decayions have stood in the ‘green’ health.
The trees are translocated, which have been identified by the State Forest Department and will have the same height as single intact trees, it is expected to be translocated around December 2021 or January 2022 because the weather conditions will be ideal at that time.
