The National Institute of Engineering Industry (Nitie), Mumbai signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GenPact, a global professional service company that focused on providing digital transformation, to build a manufacturing center and digital supply chain with a vision to provide solutions for the industry and to develop ability development and the creation of large-scale knowledge to overcome traditional manufacturing transformation to digital manufacturing through the latest trends of technology, industry 4.0, smart manufacture, and digital transformation.
The MoU was signed by Director of Nitie Mumbai – Prof.
Manoj Tiwari and Mr.
Shared by Singhal, Senior Vice President of Genpact.
Collaboration between Nitie and GenPact will serve the design and development of special choices, increasing the ability to students of Nitie and GenPact employees, the launch of the new research project, the development of research laboratories to solve real life and simulation problems, global collaboration, global in areas that emerge, and joint publications In terms of white papers, case studies and journal publications.
Students will have access to real-world use cases that enhance special software in their respective domain fields as part of a curriculum, as well as sponsored internships and projects.

The center aims to focus on digital twin, digital thread, analytical and dissemination of lean in the manufacture and risk of supply chain and resilience.
The potential area of research projects that have a shared interest can be analyzed by the multimodal transportation system, real-time decision support systems, iot and autonomous vehicles in manufacturing and logistics, business analysis and operations.
