Ahmedabad: A five-year-old girl died after sneaking into the open sewer outside the royal tower of the Grain on Jalan Sarkhej-Juhapura at 8:30 a.m.
on Saturday.
The little girl, who was identified only as Naani, sold balloons in the area and lived in the nearby slums.
Firefighting officials said that the sewer was open when the rescue surgery began and the girl did not survive.
“We had subdued a long stick with hooks at one end to find the body in the gutter.
After two minutes, we found it,” said a fire department.

The girl, who was identified only as Champa, accompanied 108 officials.

On September 28, a 12-foot cave in Sarkhej-Juhapura Road had devoured the autorickshaw around 7 in the morning.
The driver of the rickshaw has miraculously escaped from a serious injury.
