Uom to offer courses in tech emerging

Shrinivasa.mmysuuru: In an effort to make technical courses more interesting and make students ready for industry in sectors that appear like IoT, Blockchain technology, Robotics, Agri Engineering, All Technical Education Board (AICTE) has issued permission for 68 universities to begin New courses that appear.
These courses are permitted both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Courses such as MTech in Defense Technology, M-Arch in Sustainable Human Habitat, M-Arch in Digital Heritage and Conservation, MBA in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development, in Agri Engineering, Printing and Artificial Design, Automation and Intelligence made in Robotics , IoT industries, Cybersecurity & Blockchain technology, etc.
“This emerging course is permitted from this academic year,” said SB Halbhavi, Special Officer, Academic, University of Technology Visvesvaraya (VTU), Batawayavi.
“Only universities with NBA accreditation are allowed to start this course and 68 colleges are allowed to do so,” he said.
Aicte has allowed UOM to start courses such as being in civil environment techniques, artificial intelligence and engine learning, artificial intelligence and data science, computer science and design, and biomedical and robotic techniques.
“We can call it a new age course.
They will have the future potential in the next two-three years,” said UOM VC G Hemantha Kumar.
“These courses are designed to meet industrial needs.
After students complete this course, job opportunities will be more.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, etc.
is the technology that appears,” he said.
