Chandigarh: Dengue is the cause of concern for the Ministry of Health because there has been an uptick in the number of dengue cases of diseases transmitted by vectors.
As per the records of the Ministry of Health, from 13,532 tests suspected of being patients carried out, 3,760 has been found positively dengue fever.
At present, there are 39 laboratories in Punjab conducting free testing of dengue fever.
Taking a serious note about the increasing number of cases of dengue fever in Punjab, Deputy Chief Minister O P Soni directed the Health Department official to accelerate anti-fever activities.

Soni told the number of breeders examiners had increased to 460 to eradicate dengue fever and mosquitoes sprayed at 50-60 houses around the house of dengue patients.
