Guwahati: Assam Cid has registered a case against 36 teachers who manage work with a feasibility test certificate (TET) and a special investigation team (sitting) has been formed to investigate fraud, officials said on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Assam Police said that 36 teachers received government work based on false documents and made in the Bodoland territorial (BTR) region consisting of Chirang Regency, Bega, Udalguri, and Kokrajhar.

Introductory investigation was conducted to verify the authenticity of the allegations of the teachers and found the allegations correct.
Minister of Himanta’s minister Buswa Sarma has directed CID to register the case and investigate.
A spokesman said that after registering a case on Sunday, the operation was launched in various districts to track the defendant and some of the accused had been taken to the Cid headquarters, while several others still fled.
Tet qualification, in accordance with the Guidelines for the National Teacher Education Council, is a mandatory criterion for someone who is eligible to make promises as teachers in government schools.
