Pune: Given the celebration season and ongoing opening process, the Secretary of the Head of the State, Pradeep Vyas, has directed all collectors and commissioners to improve drive vaccination in their district.
He has asked them that daily vaccination drives must include at least 1% of the 18-plus beneficiaries that meet the requirements in their district.
This is the desired minimum level, and can be further enhanced, he added.
With the target population of Maharashtra to 9.14 Crore, the state determines the purpose of giving a dose of 9-10 lakh a day in October.
Additional major secretaries say that each district must also identify areas where vaccination campaign has not taken, and concentrates on the pockets.
“We need to increase the speed of covid vaccination in our country because we have received an increase in vaccine doses in October,” he said.
The state received almost two doses of crore vaccines this month.
“In September, the average level of vaccination in the country is around 7.5 lakh doses per day, and with an increase in doses we can easily reach the average vaccination rate of 9-10 lakh per day this month,” Vyas Toi said .
State officials said that from the targeted population of 9.14 crore, almost 6.14 doses of crores must be given in rural areas.
Dr.
Vyas further added that the aim was to increase the speed of vaccination so that even if the number of Covid cases rose, at least severe illness and the number of deaths could be prevented.
The current country has less than 35,000 active Covid cases.
The member of the Covid Country Task Force said that the state government has published guidelines for implementing the opening process from time to time, and this must be followed in letters and spirits.
“Increasing vaccination in all districts and following the Covid protocol is the need for hours because the festival season is ongoing and more open haappens,” said members of the task force.
