Jaipur: JMC-Heritage has hit a plan to renovate and repair the legacy wall.
In the first phase, 6KM freezing walls will be renovated.
This has become a long-term JMC-Heritage plan to renovate the walls that are being interrupted and in dilapidated conditions.
The total length of the wall is 18km, but only 6km free breaking is easier to maintain.
Other parts will take time and energy to get thousands of people from it.
A senior company official with anonymous requirements said, “We have taken this project to renovate the walls that have both free sides of encroachment.
Files for financial sanctions have been sent to the Directorate of Local Agencies and after being confirmed, we will invite tender.
Around Rs 19 Crore will be needed to repair a long wall of 6 km.
“It has been in the provisions of UNESCO to renovate the city’s heritage walls and eliminate encroachment.
However, this is a challenging task to eliminate encroachment from a 12 km long legacy wall.
About five years ago, JMC, inheritance received Rs 30 Crore from the State Archaeological Department to eliminate encroachment from the walls but the corporation could not use it.
A senior corporate official with anonymous requirements, “Thousands of people have made a permanent home attach to the wall.
If we try to remove all those people, it will be a difficult job and can cause situations such as riots.
Therefore, we plan to get strength extra or alternative to complete this work.
“The majority of the inheritance walls have been destroyed for years and have become a challenging task for the company to improve this.
But until the wall is repaired, there will always be a risk of losing world heritage tags by Wall City.
