He said that the state government worked at accelerated speed for the implementation of the scheme intended for irrigation, water supply, rainwater harvesting, ground water filling and strengthening ponds, rivers, and other water bodies.

He further said that 20,000 ponds were refilled in the first year, while 15,000 ponds were reinforced in the second year.
“In addition, five major rivers were also carried out to strengthen the country.
Now, work has begun in 15 rivers,” he said.
The Minister also appealed to people to make ponds in his villages with the names of their ancestors to show respect for them and contribute to environmental conservation as well.
Speaking of water scarcity and groundwater contaminated in various regions in the state, he said that the government was working on pipeline to overcome the problem.
Highlighting the Gange Namami program, Singh said that it was the impact of the name Gange that dolphins were now seen in Ganga.
“The dissolved oxygen level has increased significantly, improving the health of the river which is also proven during Kumbh Mela,” he said, adding, “monitoring the real time every time through the CCTV camera has begun.”
