Ahmedabad: The price of gasoline across Hospital 100 per liter-mark for the first time in Gujarat on Thursday after a new increase.
Because of the sharp rise of 31 Paise, the retail selling price of gasoline has passed RS 100 in several parts of Gujarat and Ahmedabad City, said Arvind Thakkar, President of the Association of Dealers Petroleum Gujarat.
“Likewise, after a new increase from 38 Paise, diesel prices rose Rs 98.90 per liter on Thursday.
On average sold at Rs 100.11 per liter prices in most gas stations in Ahmedabad and Gujarat today,” he says.
In some parts of the Bharuch district in South Gujarat, the price of one liter of gasoline passed Rs 101 during the day, said Job Pathhan, owner of a gas station in the city of Bharuch Netrang.
The numbers showed that there was an increase of around 85 Paise on a liter of gasoline for the past three days in Gujarat.
When Kuntal Vyas, a resident of Bopal region in Ahmedabad City, went to fill gasoline in his bicycle, he was surprised to see that the price of fuel had crossed the three-digit number for the first time in his life.
“This is for the first time in my life that I paid in three digits per liter of gasoline.
Climbing recently in the price of petroleum products has affected the middle class, which has no choice but to use their private vehicle for commuters,” he said.
He made that Ahmedabad, one of the largest cities in the state, did not have the right public transportation system.
“Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) was useless when walking only on several city roads and did not take us to our destination.
The job for Metro Rail developed at a very slow speed and also had limited coverage,” he said.
