Guwahati: The upward climbing in fuel prices at Assam continues on Thursday, burning a hole in the pockets of ordinary people, whose monthly budget has been shaken under the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gasoline violates the 100 rupees in several districts in Assam when they will reach a century in other parts of the country, including the capital city of Guwahati.
Gasoline is sold because Rs 99.15 per liter in Guwahati while Rs 100 and Rs 101 per liter in Dibrugarh and the Lakhimpur Regency respectively in Assam above.
The only state capital in which gasoline is now under the RS 100 per liter is Guwahati, Dehradun, Chandigarh and Ranchi.
Meanwhile, the cost of diesel Rs 91.31 per liter in Guwahati, RS 92.16 was deposited and Rs 93.06 in the Lakhimpur District.
Gasoline prices rose by Rs 1.63 per liter while diesel was equal to Rs 2.02 per liter in the last seven days.
The price of gasoline on January 1 is Rs 87 per liter and Diesel Rs 80.42 per liter.
Senior Congress leader Debabrata Saikia, opposition leader at Assam Legislative Assembly, said, “The government failed to curb a price increase not only in fuel but also in LPG cylinders and kitchens.
The BJP government is at least disturbed about the part of the poor society.
Prices of LPG and Materials Burns constantly soaring.
Congress continues to raise his voice on price increases and performance protests.
But the government has not heed the worries of ordinary people.
“The wing of Assam from CPM also demanded that the government curb the increase in fuel prices and LPGs and kitchens.
Gasoline prices in Assam increased by Rs 12.84 in the last 12 months.
Gasoline was sold at Rs 84.93 per liter on November 1 last year.
This rose to Rs 97.77 per liter in 1.
October 1.
Diesel was sold for Rs 77.47 per liter on November 1 last year, which rose 89.61 per liter on October 1.
