Guwahati: The upward climbing in fuel prices at Assam continues on Thursday, burning a hole in the pockets of ordinary people, whose monthly budget has been shaken under the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Senior Congress leader Debabrata Saikia, opposition leader at Assam Legislative Assembly, said, “The government failed to curb a price increase not only in fuel but also in LPG cylinders and kitchens.

Congress continues to raise his voice on price increases and performance protests.
But the government has not heed the worries of ordinary people.

Gasoline was sold at Rs 84.93 per liter on November 1 last year.
This rose to Rs 97.77 per liter in 1.

Diesel was sold for Rs 77.47 per liter on November 1 last year, which rose 89.61 per liter on October 1.
