Kanpur: Special Investigation Team (SIT) has begun investigated in Kanpur, the main district of Manish Gupta businessman, who allegedly died of police torture during the attack in a hotel located in Ramgarh Tal, Gorakhpur, recently.
The second team sat, led by DCP South Raveena Tyagi, arrived at Manish’s house in Barra on Wednesday and recorded a statement of two friends, residents of Gurugram who went with Gorakhpur, besides his wife Meenakshi in front of Police Commissioner Asim Kumar Arun.
Record statement starts at 1pm and continues until late at night.
On the day of the incident, Manish was accompanied by Gorakhpur by two of his friends Harbir Singh and Pradeep Kumar, both residents of Gurugram.
The police commissioner also reached Manish’s house along with sitting.
In front of him, verbal statements from key witnesses and Meenakshi’s wife were recorded.

After this, the process of recording a written statement from the three starts.
However, Manish friends refused to talk to the media.
Meenakshi’s written statement was recorded in 15 pages sitting.
Meenakshi told reporters that sitting had asked him on several points.
“Like, the police asked about the development after Manish went to Gorakhpur.
Many other questions were asked including when I knew about the incident, about me going to Gorakhpur from Kanpur, about meetings with people in Gorakhpur, what their answers were related to the questions made by me, “Meenakshi said.
On the question of how satisfied he was with a sitting investigation, Meenakshi said that it would be too early to say anything.
“At present, the investigation is underway.
Let the final report come, only then someone can draw conclusions over the sitting probe,” he said.
The sources told Tii that Harbir and Pradeep were called by sitting to reach Gorakhpur to record statements, but both did not reach there.
“They said that they did not trust the police Gorakhpur, that’s why they didn’t go there.
When they were asked to come to Kanpur, they agreed,” added a further source.
