New Delhi: The Indian boxing federation has decided to replace the main coach of Men C a Kuttappa with the Rana Sports Institute narender in front of the World Championship this month, which was also set to mark the end of the high-performance Santiago Nieva position.
Former Asian Championship Bronze Winners and four-time national champions, 49-year-old Rana have become experienced coaches with sports control boards.
He has trained people like the winner of the world championship medal Amit Panghal and Manish Kaushik at various stages of their career.
He has been based in the Sports Institute (ASI) soldiers in Pune, the place is credited with finding stars like M Suranjoy Singh, Vikas Krishhan, Shiva Thapa and L Devendro Singh, among others.
Development was confirmed to PTI by Kuttappa.
“Yes, Mr.
Rana will take over from me.
I remain part of the coach staff even though it is not the head of the coach,” he said.
This development continued the complaint in Indian boxing after the Tokyo Olympic show, nicknamed by the National Federation.
Already, Raffaele’s high performance director Bergamasco has gone after not getting an extension in his contract.
The head coach of Women Mohd Ali Qamar can also be replaced.
India has the largest boxing team that has never existed – five men and four women – competing in the match in July-August, among them only Lovlina Borghain can finish on the podium with a bronze medal.
