BELOGIVAVI: The police have arrested 10 people, including seven members of the right-wing organization, who took Supari Rs 5 Lakh to eliminate a young man for allegedly establishing a relationship with a girl from another community in September.
The contract was given by the parents of the girl, which was allegedly in a relationship with the dealer of a used car Arbaaz Mullah.
The main defendant was from Sri Rama Sene Hindustan and all 10 had been charged with murder, conspiracy and destruction of evidence.
The girl’s parents and a mediator who tried to reach peace between the two parties were among those arrested.

The Beleagavi supervisor from Police Laxman Nimbaragi told reporters here on Friday that the Pundalika alias Maharaja Nagappa Mutagekara, 39, took a contract to kill Arbaaz and the rest was involved in murder.
The police resulted in allegations before the local court.
Privy sources for investigations said Mutagekara sealed Supari’s agreement for RS 5 Lakh and the girl’s parents reportedly paying Hospital 60,000 to him before.
The source said Kutbuddin Allahbaksha Bepari, 36, who was medium between the victims and clothes, allegedly bringing Arbaaz near the railroad in Khanapur, District of Belagiavi, on September 28 claiming they could do a pact.
The others were accused, waiting with the weapon, pouncing at him and hacked him to death just as he arrived at the designated place.
At least five of the 10 defendants, including mutagekara, was present at the crime scene.
Then, the torso and legs of the victim were cut and the body was thrown into the railway line in Khanapur to build a railroad accident case.
The source said Mutagekara extracted RS 82,000 in cash from Arbaaz by issuing threats to him.
The victim was said to have paid money in two installments: RS 7,000 via online cash transfer on September 26, and Rs 75,000 on the day of murder.
He arranged cash by selling his car.
Arbaaz’s mother was in Goa when the incident occurred.
Police said as part of Supari’s agreement, the girl’s parents Sushila, 42, and Erappa Basavanne Kumbara, 54, would have murder and submission before the police, keeping mutagekara out of the picture.
As planned, parents rushed to the police station immediately after the murder, with the request that they were arrested.
The police suspected that the couple could not commit an external assistance and began digging in this case.
Also, the victim’s mother suspected the role of mutagekara, lend trust in police theory that more people were involved in the plot.
Another defendant who was arrested was Maruti Prahlad Sugate, 30, Manjunatha Tangarama, 25, Ganapati Gnaneshwar Sugate, 26, Prashanth Kallappa Patil, 28, Praveen Shankar Pujeri, 28, and Shridhar Mahadev was conducted, 31.
