Bhubaneswar: The process of carrying out the election of Panchayat in the state moves forward with the government on Friday coming out with a draft list of reservations determining the quota to post members of Bangsal, Sarpanch, Panchayat Samiti, Block Member Parisi and Zilla.
The list of concepts has been published in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Panchayat (amendment) (amendment) that are just applied, 2021, capping total reservations for SC, ST and the backward class in areas that are not scheduled 50%.
A total of 50% of seats in each category will also be provided for female candidates.
With the publication of the draft list of reservations, the authorities invited claims and objections from the general public on October 16, which will be discarded by district collectors on October 21 for the position of members of the Ward, Sarpanch and Panchayat Samiti Members / Chief.
In connection with the booking for Zilla Parishad members, which will be carried out by the Panchayati Department of Raj State, claims and objections will be disposed of on October 22 while the government’s approval of the reservation is expected on October 29.
For the post of President Zilla Parishad, a list of concepts will be published on October 16 and the last publication on October 26.
“List of Final Reservations for Posting Ward Members, Sarpanch and Panchayat Samiti Members / Chairs will be communicated to the State Election Commission on October 26 when the reservation.
Register for members of Zilla Parishad and the President will be submitted on October 30th.
