Gurugram: A 24-year-old student SGT University on Friday afternoon was shot dead by other students on campus.
Victim, Vinit, originally from Shamli Up.
The last year of BAMS students (Bachelor of Ayurvedic and Surgical Treatment), he lives in Hostel College.
The main defendant, Palikh, aka lucky, is a year-end law student from Najafgarh Delhi.
Three other students – Lucky’s Brother Rahul, his friend Himani, a BSC student last year, and Nitesh – had been ordered too.
Police said the shooting took place in the campus parking area of 500 hectares.
Vinit and his friends were in class around 10:30 a.m.

“He was given medical assistance in a few minutes after the incident, but despite our best efforts, we could not save him,” said an official of the SGT Hospital.
Based on the statement of Harsh Kumar, a case was registered at the Park Rajendra police station against Lucky, Nitesh, Rahul and Hienhan under the 302 section (murder) and 34 (general intentions) of IPCs and relevant weapons parts.
According to FIR, the dispute between Vinit and Lucky appeared after Vinit wanted to be friends with Hien.
In a telephone conversation with him, he also said something about luck.

In a statement, SGT University said according to the initial information, the incident was the result of “personal disputes” among several students.
“The police are investigating this problem and the university authority fully works together,” said the statement.
A university official said the campus had a comprehensive CCTV coverage and spread several security guards, and hence, each physical examination and each student was not done.
“It’s a college and we have a public hospital on campus.
Thousands of people, including students, faculties, university staff, patients and their servants, visiting every day,” said the official, adding that the administration plans to overhaul the security settings and put up metal detector after incident.
DCP (West) Deepak Sahara said the police analyzed CCTV footage.
“We have registered a case and tried to accuse the defendant,” he added.
The police said they were also trying to make sure how a student held a gun and how long he had it.
