Mangaluru: Police Dakshina Kannada on Saturday arrested four people raping a 16-year-old girl on Friday.
Police supervisor Rishikesh Sonange said the initial investigation revealed the girl had met with one of the accused on Facebook and her, in turn, had introduced it to her relatives who were then involved in video chat with him.
On October 8, his FB friend, also a defendant asked the girl to visit the mall and then convinced him to rest in the cottage and suspected of raping him.
He then called another friend and said there was a girl in the cottage.
He reportedly landed there and raped him.
Another accusation, which arranged for the cottage room, was accused of abusing the girl sexually.
After the girl filed a complaint, a special team was formed to solve this case.
The case is listed below the IPC 366 (A) section (Kaktroan a little girl), 376 D (rape gang), 506 (criminal intimidation) and section 4 and 6 of the Pocso Law.
