Mangaluru: Sudheendra Prabhu, 16, who sustained a head injury when the businessman opened fire during a fight with workers at the Morgan gate here on Tuesday, died on Friday morning.
City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar confirmed the boy died around 5 in the morning.
The Father of the boy, Rajesh Prabhu, 48, has a cargo Vaishnavi Express and has been produced before the court on Thursday on charges of murder efforts, it is likely to be detained after participating in the son’s funeral.
The body was handed over to the family after postmortem at Wenlock Hospital.
The source says Rajesh is likely to be produced before the court here on Saturday if his health allows.
After searching for the opinion of the legal expert, the IPC section will be modified because the South Mangaloru police are currently accusing Rajesh trying to kill and try to commit the guilty murder under the IPC and under the part of the ARM Law.
