Vijayapura / Haveri: As the deadline for submitting a nominated paper for 30 October repairs to Hangal and Sindi ended on Friday, the stage was set for 22 aggressive campaign days.
All major political parties announced a list of stars and veteran elections that will travel two constituencies over the next two weeks.
The day after BJP announced Shivaraj Sajjana (Hangal) and Ramesh Bhusanur (Sindgi) as his candidate, they each submitted their nomination paper.
In Sindgi, Minister of KS Eshwarappa, Govind Karjol, V Somanna, Shashikala Jolle, Bhyrathi Basavaraj, CC Patil, MP Ramesh Jigajinagi, MLA BASAGOUDA Yatnal and others accompanied Bhusanur.
Former Deputy Chairperson of the Minister and MLC Laxman Savadi, incharge from the Sindgi campaign, said the Chairman of the Minister of Basavaraj Bommai and former Minister of BS Yediyurappa Chairman will campaign for two days in Sindgi.
Meanwhile, Eshwarappa said the Congress would be divided into two parties before the 2023 assembly poll in the state due to the struggle between Siddaramaiiah and DK Shivakumar.
Kandyat Congress Sindgi Ashok Managuli also submitted a nomination on the last day while Srinivas Mane submitted his letters on Thursday to Hangal.
KPCC President DK Shivakumar, opposition leader Siddaramaiiah and Sr Patil, former Minister of MB Patil, Shivanand Patil, Mla Yashavantaraayaaam Patil took part in the procession before submitting a nomination.
Siddaramaia said confidence would win both selections at least 25,000 votes.
“Because the price of skyrocketing essential commodities, people will definitely teach BJP lessons.” In Hangal, State President of BJP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Ministers Murugesh Nirani, Shivaram Hebbar and BC Patil, MLAS accompanied Sajjana to submit a nomination paper.
BJP leaders were annoyed because the party denied the UDAS family ticket.
They have protested against high command.
However, MP Shivakumar Udasi calms them.
“Some local workers want my family members for the contest.
But, our goal is to defeat the Congress,” Nirani added Sajjana might not belong to the family, but close to the family.
