Lucknow: The Lakhimpur Kheri police on Saturday held the Ankit Das driver, the nephew of the former Member of the End of Parliament Akhilesh Das, in connection with the death of four farmers trimmed by Mishra Ashish vehicles, Son of Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni.
He was reportedly driving a vehicle at the convoy right behind the Mishra SUV.
The driver was also accused of helping Ankit Das escape from the place.
Meanwhile, another aide from Mishra, was said to be present at the crime scene, was also detained.
Senior police officers did not reveal the names of the defendants by saying they had not been arrested and questioned.
Uncle Ankit Akhilesh Das is a member of the Parliament of Congress and the National Secretary General of BSP.
He died in 2017.
Ankit was said to be a close colleague ashish Mishra and his father.
An official said the name Ankit Das appeared after the video became a viral per day after violence in Kheri.
In the video, a man, has an injury to his head, looks claiming that he is in the second SUV with a watershed.
A police officer was also seen in the video that held the microphone and asked the injured person about the incident.
He told the police that the vehicle belonged to Ankit Das.
The injured man sounded telling the police that he was from the Charbagh area in Lucknow and had accompanied Ankit Das to Kheri to work.
