Nagpur: In another action by the Nagpur division forest officials, seven hunter from Yavatmal and Amravati Regency were arrested and Tiger’s body parts were restored on Sunday night.
This is the second attack on the tiger hunters in the last five days.
On October 7, Sarpana and the mechanic scooter were arrested for trading Tiger Cub’s body parts.
Acting on a tip-off, the trap was placed by a team led by ACF Narendra Chandewar near Haladgaon toll booth at Nagpur-Wardha Road.
Tiger was said to be killed in Umarda in the Yavatmal Division in March 2018.
The defendant has been identified as Prakash Koli (Kamatdev), Prakash Raut (Ward), Sandeep Rangari (Wardha), Ankush Upwade (Icholi) in Yavatmal and Vinod Moon (Sawla), Vivek For example (Anjangaon), and Yogesh Milmile (Warud) from the Amravati district.
All have been returned in forest custody until October 14.
“We had information that the defendant came to Nagpur to attack the agreement for the tiger body part in the MH-44B-5152 SUV.
When the vehicle reached the toll booth, we stopped it and during the distinction of a canines and the mustache was confiscated,” said Deputy Conservator Bharat Singh Hada.
“We also found out whether the defendant was involved in the tiger hunting or only dealing with Tiger’s body parts.
During the interrogation, the defendant said they took off the tiger’s body part of the dead.
We were not ready to believe and our team was hunting accused,” said the official investigator.
Wildlife Consshendationists said Butibori suddenly appeared on the map of wildlife trading in a great way.
The date of the recent case, all involving tiger parts, has the same pattern.
“All the tigers were killed away from Butibori and all the seizures were made when the transit where the contraband goods were brought to the buyer.
