Road two lines that connect Kashi to Bhadohi, Chandauli will be widened

Varanasi: The two pathway connecting Bhadohi and Chandauli with Varanasi will now be converted into a four-lane road and six lanes.
Bhadohi and Chandauli were separated from the Varanasi respectively in 1994 and 1997.
PWD will execute these projects at the cost of Rs 273 Crores and Rs 416 Crores, respectively.
Speaking with TOI on Monday, the Division Commissioner Deepep Agrawal said, “The two projects changed the road Varanasi-Gopiganj two lanes through Bhadohi to four lanes with the budget of RS 273.12 Crores and Mohansarai-Chakia Crossing Road in Varanasi (Cantonment) Train Station and Ddu Nagar (Mughalary) to Jalan Six Lajur with an Investment RS 416 Crores, it has been approved by the state government and will be executed by PWD.
“In accordance with the estimated PWD, the total conversion fee of the four pathways Varanasi-Bhadohi has been estimated as RS 273.12 crores, including RS 162 , 93 crores for road construction, RS 100.08 crores for land acquisition, RS 2.37 Crores for cutting trees, Rs 6.22 crores on pole shifts and transformers and Rs 1.50 Crore on the shift in religious structures.
“The road Varanasi-Gopiganj in Bhadohi has been connected to Phase-Road Phase-II,” said Commissioner who added, carpet shipments for exports went to the airport and the port of Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi through Varanasi.
Apart from this, passenger vehicle traffic is also very heavy on the road two lanes.
The conversion of four road lines will make it easier for traffic on this road, which has many densely populated areas.
Mohansarai-Varanasi Railway Station (Cantt) – DDU Nagar-Chakia Crossing Road Six-Lane will be the RS 416.88 Crores project, including RS 308.49 Crores on Road Construction, RS 66.37 Crores on land acquisition, Rs 10.48 Crores on cutting Trees and rewards, Rs 2.34 crores on the waterline shift, Rs 27.68 crores on electric poles and transformers shifts and Rs 1,50 crores in the religious structure shifting.
Jalan Mohansarai-Chakia Crossing via Varanasi Railway Station and Ddu Nagar, also known as the Old-GT road.
He said that there was a very heavy road on Jalan 54.885 km, which was associated with Bhu, DLW, Sarnath, Chandauli, Azamgarh, Ghazipur and other highways at various points.
Traffic congestion was faced on this road for almost 24 hours.
