Ahmedabad: Mentioned as one of the safest cities for women in this country, Ahmedabad reported two rape cases on Monday.
While a 40-year-old woman from Ghatlodia was kidnapped and raped by her online friend in one case, a 20-year-old child from Ranip was illegally and raped by her husband’s contractor in another case.
In the first complaint filed with Ghatlodia police, the victim, who was a teacher with a private school, had come into contact with Rupesh Patel, 33, from Vastral via Facebook about eight months ago.
They share their telephone numbers and start chatting with each other.
“Patel asked the woman to establish a relationship with him, but he refused.
Angry with this, he asked him to meet him.
He agreed.
Patel then kidnapped him and raped it in the commercial complex in Vastral.
He then dropped him near his house,” said the complaint he asked against Patel.
Ghatlodia police arrested Patel and produced it before a local court on Monday.
In the second case, the 20-year-old victim said that her husband drove a garbage collector for AMC.
He alleged that his supervisor of Ramu Munia with the help of his female friend Sumitra Bhabhor, raped him on September 11.
He said that Bhabhor, who was his neighbor in Ranip, called him on the morning of September 11 and took him to Munia.
“When he entered a room at Bhabhor’s house, Munia was waiting for him there.
Bhabhor left the room and locked it from the outside.
Munia raped him while threatening to fire her husband and kill her child,” said the complaint.
After the incident, he went to his place in Dahod and fell into depression.
After some relatives asked about his condition, he told them about rape.
Then, he filed a complaint of rape against Munia and Bhabhor.
