Tiles to take airtags with new UWB based tracking devices

Tiles have officially announced the most sophisticated tracking tools.
Dubbed Ultra tiles, this is the first tracker of the company to display Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology.
New tile trackers will likely take like Apple Airtag and will be available in 2022.
The company also claims that ultra tiles will be the first tracking device to offer UWB support for Android and iOS devices.
It is important to note that there are currently a small number of smartphones currently supporting UWB.
Both iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 come with UWB along with some Samsung Galaxy Premium smartphones.
UWB technology is a short distance wireless communication protocol similar to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but operates at higher frequencies.
UWB technology also allows devices to produce spatial and directional data that makes it easy to find tile trackers.
Apart from this, tiles have also added the AR viewfinder in the tile application to give users a better device perception.
Until now, the tiles have not revealed the right price and release date for ultra tiles, but the company has revealed the design gave us a glimpse of how the device would be visible.
From the image posted by tiles, Ultra Tracker will display a similar design as the latest Pro Tile that displays a round angle and a rectangular shape along with the default key chain.
Along with announcing ultra new tiles, the company has also updated existing tile devices – buddies, pro, slim, and sticker trackers – with better speakers, water resistance and improved range.
