Hyderabad: Apart from Telangana’s request to postpone the implementation of Gazette notifications on irrigation projects to be taken over by the Krishna River Management Council and the Godavari (GRMB) River Management Council (GRMB), this center will advance with the initial plan to control two councils from October 14, but step by step.
The KRMB meeting on Tuesday decided to take over all the outlets directly under the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar project from October 14.
On Monday, GRMB decided to take over Peddavagu in Bhadradri District Kothagudem, which was a general project under control.
“Implementation of Gazette Notification on July 15th on KRMB Jurisdiction was discussed in the 15th Special Meeting of the Board on Tuesday.
All direct outlets (components) of the main reservoir of the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar project, registered under the scheduled notification, can be prioritized by each Each state government to submit to KRMB on October 14, “said Chairman of the KRMB Singh Singh in a statement.
The board meeting on Tuesday was attended by Telangana Special Chief Secretary of Rajat Kumar and AP Irrigation Secretary, J Shyamal Rao along with each Irrigation Department Engineer.
“The Board must postpone the implementation of sheet notifications to the final allocation of Air Krishna because the center is committed to referring to Telangana’s request for the court.
But it has decided to continue,” said Rajat Kumar to Tii.
He said the state government had requested 575 TMCFT water in Krishna.
“While the country gets 299 TMCFT from a total of 811 TMCFT while for projects in the basin, we need at least 104 other TMCFT, which comes to around 50% of the total water Krishna,” said the Secretary of the Special Chief.
“Most of the concerns raised by Telangana agreed by KRMB.
Both Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam are a general project in Krishna, and Peddavagu is a general project about Godavari,” said Rajat Kumar.
Of the 65 projects listed in the notification, 30 control points including 18 under Nagarjuna Sagar and 12 under Srisailam were asked by the board.
“Either Telangana and AP will decide by going to which assets need to be submitted to the council.
Maintenance costs will be borne by each government.
Labor and security will come from Telangana on the project until the final decision,” said Rajat Kumar.
Official sources said the AP had asked the council to take over the house of power on both projects along with other outlets because of the controversy over power plants by Telangana from Srisailam.
But Telangana has opposed the proposal.
“The Hydel power plant by Telangana is entirely legal.
We asked Pothhireddadu and HNSS to be taken over, received,” said Head of Irrigation.
