PANAJI: Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant said on Monday said that the internal tourism circuit would be developed from Panaji to Bondla wildlife asylum through Lake Mayem and Arvalem.
He said that this would be done under the Swadesh Darshan scheme of the United States.
Speaking in the inauguration of new lighting at Radha Krishna Temple, Sakhali, he said that for new circuits, connectivity will be increased by providing better roads, “beauty along the way”, and “beauty projects”, among others.
He also said that the country would put the foundation stone for the beauty of Rudreshwar’s temple in Arvalem.
The Chairperson of Goa Tourism Development (GTDC) Dairand Sopte said that all formalities related to the circuit were completed, and that soon, the tender would drift to invite bidders to take the project.
The minister’s chairman said that the state government also had a plan to restore the Sakhali fortress to hold small open air functions.
Sawant said that because Covid, the state could not get the bidder to take restoration, but the government would soon float tender.
He also said that the country would spend around RS 4 Crore to develop the fort.
