Bengaluru: The Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has recommended that the government empower the BBMP Marshal to make surprise visits to the office – both published and private – to ensure the appropriate behavior of Covid (cabin) followed.
The suggestion was made after it was found compliance with the safety protocol like using a mask was loose in the office.
At the TAC meeting on Sunday (October 10), a member brought a bad compliance problem with taxis in public and private offices in Bengaluru with committee notice.
“After many deliberations, it was suggested that the Nodal officers appointed to enforce compliance with taxis in the office.
In addition, it is recommended that Marshals randomly visit public offices and ensure compliance with taxis,” the committee wrote to the government.
Although TAC Mistive only refers to public offices, TAC members said it also applies to private offices that must be considered public spaces in the context of Covid-19 under the National Disaster Management Act.
“People who sit in closed arrangements like the office are more susceptible to infection if they come into contact with infected people,” said a member of TAC.
“The need is to ensure preventive measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
Everyone must follow a taxi.” Other members say: “There are Nodal Covid-19 officers in every establishment, and they must ensure a taxi compliance in the office space.
Do not follow the taxi’s mandate Can remove profits made so far in battle against a pandemic.
“TAC members say short public memory and people behave as if the novel Coronavirus no longer exists.
They seem to have forgotten the horror of the second wave, said the member.
“The possibility of the third wave cannot be ruled out,” an expert warns.
D Randeep, Special Commissioner Exit (Health), BBMP, said that in the provisions of the National Disaster Management Law, the BBMP commissioner has the power to ratify the Marshal to ensure a taxi followed.
He said if the government issued in this case, the Civic Agency will implement it.
There is no intention to punish “this can ensure the designated person enters the office space only for limited purposes,” Randeep said.
“That doesn’t mean we enter the house.
In a larger context, even a private office that has a public interface to a public office even though someone can claim it is a private company.
If a large violation of taxis is found, the government can impose steps to ensure the protocol is followed.
“Randeep continues to add:” It is understandable if someone sits in his room alone and does not wear a mask while attending to work.
But sitting in an open booth near each other, in a meeting or meeting of people, it is strongly recommended that someone wore a mask.
Visit The office will not be in the intention to punish, but ensure employees live by taxi.
It is also to convey the message that they are being watched.
