New Delhi: The Chairman of the Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday lay down the foundation stone of the Government Hospital 1,430 beds in Shalimar Bagh, and said the facility would be ready in the next six months.
Overcoming meetings at the construction of the hospital in Shalimar Bagh, Kejriwal said that during the second wave of Coronavirus Pandemi City had witnessed the scarcity of hospital beds, ICU beds and medical oxygen.
“As a responsible government, we take all important steps for the third wave (Covid-19).
Today (Sunday) I have placed the stone foundation from the government hospital 1,430 new beds here (Shalimar Bagh).
All these beds Will be an ICU bed and every bed will be equipped with oxygen supply.
This hospital will be completed within six months, “Kejriwal said.
He said that the government was building seven new hospitals (including Shalimar Bagh) with a total capacity of 6,800 beds in the city, which would provide encouragement for health infrastructure and medical facilities in the city.
Delhi Heath and Public Works Department Minister Satyendar Jain and Shalimar Bagh MLA Bandana Kumari are also present at the ceremony along with health and PWD officials.
CM also said that the government will develop and implement an international standard system for medical care and facilities.
The government will implement a Health Information Management System (HIM) which will help provide world-class medical facilities, he said.
“Through him the government will have all medical related data from residents and people will be able to order an online appointment with a doctor at a government hospital.
This will end the queue for people in the hospital.” We will also distribute health cards to citizens .
People with health cards will get free care at the hospital, “Kejriwal said.
