Guwahati: As many as 31 candidates are in Medan for Bypolls up to five assembly constituencies after eight candidates pulling their nomination on Saturday, the last day of withdrawal.
According to the ECI schedule, the election will be held in five seats on October 30 and the vote count will take place on 2.
November the Chief Electoral Officer office states that three candidates have attracted their nomination of the Tamulpur constituency, while the other five candidates have attracted their nomination of the GossiIrAon constituency.
Gosaigaon and the Bhabanipur constituency have eight respective candidates in the commotion, while there are six of Tamulpur, five of Thowra and four from Mariani.
From the alliance of decisions, BJP fights in Thowra, Mariani and Bhabanipur, while UPPL fight from Tamulpur and Gossiigaon.
Ally third, AGP, will not contest this constituency.
Choosing to go solo, Congress has installed his candidates in all five seats, while his ex-partner in the last assembly, AIUD, also fought itself from Gossiigaon and Bhabanipur.
