Raut: Maha is issued to RS20 unit to pasture the power crisis

Nagpur: The State Energy Minister Nitin Raut said the deficiency of coal was over and the hot power plant had regained a normal generation.
To overcome deficiencies in generation during the crisis, the state government must issue an additional RS197 crore to buy power with a higher level of energy exchange, he added.
Raut, who spoke with the media on the sidelines of the trial ceremony of the Kalpana Saroj Global Aviation (KGSA), said this has helped avoid load shedding.
However, during a press conference in Mumbai last week, Raut said the power worth as much as RS250 Crore was purchased.
Then, learned by Toi that the state had spent RS330 Crore to buy strength to bridge the gap.
Toi also has documents that indicate that the power worth RS197 Crore was purchased in September only.
Documents show that expensive power at ranging levels from RS1.85 to RS20 per unit is purchased from 22 to 30 September.
From September 22 to 25, 3,600MW power was purchased in one day.
Meanwhile, Raut said the state also bought RS16 power to RS20 per unit to plug in the crisis.
Expensive strength is only purchased for the peak period, which is for 6am to 9am to 9:00.
Power is purchased from energy exchanges in a normal course too.
Usually, ranging from 200MW to 1,800MW, depending on the request.
Because the situation is normalized, there is no additional crown power needed.
Like at 9:40 pm on Sundays, the overall power demand in the state reaches 18,307mW and a total generation at 11.919MW.
The thermal power plant from Mahagenco produces 4,850MW.
Private plants produce 5,726mW at the same time.
The highest generation is from adani power plants in Tiroda at more than 2,700MW at that time.
