In accordance with the proposal placed in the academic council meeting held last week, the University plans to provide 60%: 40% moving for practical theories and papers on all technical courses.
Papers with theory and practical components will have 50%: 50% for external and internal examinations.

When contacted, Anna University officials said the uniformed ratio for all universities had not been resolved.
Professor from Anna University said the proposal would only help private colleges to increase the percentage of passes and, in turn, would help their acceptance.
“Universities need to strengthen sustainable assessment and semester exams to improve quality.
Uniformity in weight is not the right step towards improving quality,” said a school principal from an autonomous college.
Furthermore, the University also proposed introducing new regulations for more than 400 affiliated colleges from 2021-22 at the meeting.
Under new regulations, the BE / BTECH title has been reduced from around 185 credits of up to 160 credits in accordance with the Aicte model curriculum for undergraduate programs.
