CORAPUT: Five months after financial irregularities were excavated at the Dabugaon Tehsil office in Nabarangpur and Najir Regency, Chandana Mandal, was suspended because of the allegations of involvement in embezzling government revenues on the None of Rs 1.45 Crore, he was arrested by the team.

“During the initial audit by the Revenue Board, the embezzlement of government income was excavated and the mandal was suspended.
The case was registered against employees accused of the Dabugaon police station and the investigation began.
During this period he escaped,” said the police supervisor (Nabarangpur) Smit P Parmar.
“We are a special team to track the defendant and during the investigation we can find it in Itabhata Village in Sukma Chhattisgarh Regency,” SP added.
According to SP, district police have freezed several bank accounts from the defendant which contained Rs 27, 87,026.
By manipulating government checks, the defendant would withdraw cash from the bank and then deposit it in his account, SP said.
Investigations are active to ensure other people involved in evil and to explore the accused assets, Parmar said.
In May this year, following complaints by Dabugaon Tehsildar Sandhya Somarath, the Nabarangpur Regency Government conducted an investigation and suspended the mandal.
During the investigation it was found that since September 2020 Mandal has misused government money by destroying the examination, said a senior administrative official of Nabarangpur.
