Kolkata: The department met on Tuesday said that heavy rain was very likely to continue in West Bengal until Thursday morning even as a low pressure system that developed on a gangetic basin in the southern part of the country moved to Bihar.
Weatherman warned very heavy rainfall over Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Alipurduar until Wednesday morning and rain fell until Thursday above all sub-Himalaya districts.
The Met Office has predicted a flashy storm along with rainfall that is widespread in all state districts until Thursday morning.
Jhalong in Kalimpong Regency received maximum rainfall in 24 hours until 8:30 a.m.
