Nagpur: It is now established that Covid-19 vaccination is proven to be useful in containing the spread of the virus.
Daily Kaseload in Vidarbha has dropped significantly because more than 65% of the eligible population is now vaccinated.
Data recently released by the State Health Department showed that vaccination coverage was good in almost all Vidarbha districts.
In fact, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Nagpur and Wardha – Five of the six districts in the Nagpur Division – have performed better than the average state of 69.58%.
While Bhandara has reached more than 90% of the first dose coverage and stands third in the state after Mumbai and Pune, the adjacent Gontia district is in the 6th position while Chandrapur, Nagpur and Wardha each are ranked 11th, 12 and 13.
The five districts are in 13 districts where more than 70% of qualified populations have been vaccinated with at least one dose.
Gadchiroli in the Nagpur Division is ranked 19th with more than 60% of the population affixed.
The performance of the Akola Health Division (Amravati Revenue Division) is a matter of concern so far.
With less than 50% of adults vaccinated, Akola is in five bottom districts of Maharashtra at ranked 32.
The revenue of the Amravati division’s headquarters is ranked 27th.
Buldhana (28) and Yavatmal (30) have been invested by only more than 50% of the population with at least one dose.
Overall, this district needs to work on their vaccination model to achieve the desired results.
As far as the coverage of the state vaccine becomes a concern, the Nanded district in Marathwada is below with coverage close to 46% while Hingoli’s neighbors took place second at 48%.
Mumbai (97%) lead chart, followed by Pune (91%).
The administration there expects more than 100% coverage because the two cities have a large number of migrant populations that will take Jab in these cities.
At present, the government does not have a mechanism to find out whether people who are vaccinated are domicile residents of the city or migrants.
Now, the next target is to increase the second dose coverage.
This will help in bringing life to normal.
