Ranchi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gets a breath on Wednesday after Jharkhand High Court extends the order “There are no coercion steps” to be taken against it in a criminal case registered here.
While hearing the forging petition submitted by Gandhi, Justice SK Dwivedi extended the order and set the next hearing date in the case of December 7 Gandhi had challenged the publication of the call and asked for a criminal process offer on him following Advocates, Pradeep Modi, in the Ranchi District Court.
The complainant filed a case against the leader of Congress to make a statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the campaign for the Election of Sabha 2019 in Ranchi.
In his speech, said Gandhi, “everyone with Modi as their family name is a thief.” He refers to NIRAV Modi and Latal Modi, who was charged with fraud and left the country.
By stating that Gandhi’s comments had hurt his sentiment, Pradeep Modi submitted a case to be perfection in the High Court.
He also filed a separate lawsuit for perfection, looking for Rs 20 Crore as damage from Gandhi.
After recording Pradeep Modi’s statement, the district has admitted and issued a call to Gandhi, asking him to appear directly or represented by his advocate.
Gandhi then filed a petition in the High Court and requested innocence.
In his petition, Gandhi said he did not make a statement to hurt sentiments from every individual or great people.
This case was amrid by the Political Vendetta of the Union Government, he said in his application.
