Bhubaneswar: The State Police Headquarters on Thursday was suspended by Dimu Parja, Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of the Kebegona Police Station in the district of Ladyandi, because of the dereltail of the task in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of the Mamita Meer school teacher.
The move was followed after Tii highlighted the allegations of negligence of Kebegon police officials in this case.
Meher, who came from Balangir Regency, used to teach in private schools in Mahaling under the Kebala Police area.
On October 8, he told his parents that he would meet with the Gobinda Sahu school president, but never returned home.
The day after he was lost, the Meher’s family approached the police station Kebala to file a complaint about sudden loss.
But local police reportedly turned them away.
It speculates that the Sahu became the influential person from the locality and was known as a maid near the Minister of State for the house, Shankar Mishra, the police refused to register a complaint of the keher.
Departing without choice, the Meher Family filed a complaint lost with the Sindhelala police station in Balangir on October 13.
