Kasturba hospital gets NABH certification

Manipal: Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, has received certification of nursing excellence from the National Accreditation Council for hospitals and health care providers (NABH), Indian Quality Council.
Dr.
H S Balli, Pro-Chancellor, Mahe, Manipal, handed over the certificate to Dr.
Suba Sooria, head-nursing services at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.
Ballal said that it was an extraordinary achievement on the hospital had been respected for the superiority of excellence by Nabh and nurses play an important role in providing care to patients.
Certification is given to facilities, which maintain international standards in all fields of nursing care settings such as patient care, patient education and awareness, nursing resource management, nursing care quality, communication and guidance and practices of infectious control.
Naac Grade for FR Muller The Bottle Muller Medical College (FMMC), Mangaluru, has been disclosed with class A by National Assessment and Accreditation Board (NAAC), a body that assesses and accredits higher education institutions.
This is the second cycle that has experienced FMMC and has adhered to class A with a better assessment.
Naac’s first cycle was in 2013 while the second cycle was due in 2018, one-year extension was given at the same value in 2018-2019 and because of the two-year extension pandemic was given in the same 2021.
