BELOGIVAVA: Grieving his wife’s death due to black mushrooms, a retired servicing and four children died of suicide in a village under the Hukkeri Taluk, said the police on Saturday.
According to the police, Gopal Hadiimani (46), along with four children – Sowmya (19), Shwetha (16), Sakshi (11) and Srijan Hadiimani (8) – consuming poisons on Friday night.
Neighbors grow suspicious when there are no families who look this morning and tell the police who, in turn, relatives who tell.
Relatives said Hadiimani was destroyed after his wife died of black mushrooms as an effect after Covid-19 in July.
“He and his children are often used to tell us that they cannot live without his wife,” said relative to reporters.
It relatively said children had talked to him on the phone without giving a hunch to take extreme steps.
The police said they were investigating this problem.
