Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Higher Education on Friday published the first list of seats for reception to PG courses in 59 universities and 14 state universities.
The selected students can request acceptance between October 23 and October 28.
Although 52,639 students have paid the fee to take part in the receipt process, only 37,492 of them are considered for selection of the capacity of 15,000 PG seats in 73 state institutions.
In the first round the selection, around 12,214 of 37,492 students had been selected for the first round of reception.
The number of girl students is much higher than their male colleagues in the first round of the selection.
A total of 7,501 female students were chosen against 4,713 male students.
The University has 8,410 pg chairs, while colleges have a capacity of 6,590 students.
Officials say 2,392 students from the SC category and 2,685 students from the ST category have been selected for the first round of PG reception.
A official said CPET and OJEE had an entrance test for several common courses such as MBA, MCA and several MSC and MTech courses, so many students could leave the PG seat after getting their Institute of Ojee Counseling.
The receipt process is monitored by the Odisha State Education Council (OSHEC).
The council said students could deposit their acceptance costs online between October 22 and October 25 (17:00).
The students chosen in the first round will report the institutions allocated to receive entrance tickets on October 28 (5PM) not including Sundays.
Likewise, the second round of acceptance for eligible students will be carried out between November 5 and November 9 (5PM).
