Coimbatore: More than 1.17 Lakh people are inoculated during the mega vaccination drive held in the district for the first time on Saturday.
This is the highest number of people who will vaccinate in a day during mass inoculation drives in the district.
Previously, the district was vaccinated 1, 51, 685 people in the first mega drive held on September 12.
The Ministry of Health Drive official was held on Saturday to encourage Tiples to take Jab.
“Many people, who consume liquor on Sundays are not advanced to be invested.” It should be noted that the district has held five mega vaccination drives in the past and they are all held on Sundays.
GS collector Sameran 1, 17, 799 vaccine doses given on that day and 76.7% beneficiaries are people who are due for the second dose.
At least 1,372 vaccination camps were held in the district as part of Mega Drive and 269 of them were at the city corporate limit.
A corporate official said more than 40,000 people had benefited from the push that day.
City health officials said the purification was bad after 4pm and they had used the vaccine dose left in each camp to inoculate the people in front of their door.
“It’s old, the people who benefit mostly from the door vaccination arrangement.” Minister of Electricity V Senthil Balaji, who is in the city, visits vaccination centers at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, VOC Park and the YWCA Secondary School matriculation.
He was accompanied by the Compector and Corporation Commissioner King Gopal Sunkara.
Traveling to the media, the minister said the mega vaccination drive was held in the district in the best way so far.
Appreciate people to take advantage of camps, he said Coimbatore will be the first district to achieve 100% vaccination in the state.
Health officials, meanwhile, said when they had been inoculating more than one lakh in the third mega and fifth drive vaccination in the district, only 94,723 and 81,454 people were inoculated during the second and fourth mega vaccination drive.
