New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh on Monday and launch Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swastth Bharat Yojana in Varanasi at 1:15 a.m., the Prime Minister’s office said.
Around 10:30 a.m.
in Siddharthnagar, the prime minister will inaugurate nine medical colleges in the state.
As per official statement, he will also inaugurate various development projects worth more than RS 5200 Crore for Varanasi.
“Atmanirbhar Prime Minister Swastth Bharat Yojana (Pasmy) will be one of the largest Pan-India schemes to strengthen health service infrastructure throughout the country.
This will be an additional national health mission,” PMO said.
Furthermore, said that the purpose of PASMY was to fill the critical gap in public health infrastructure, especially in critical care facilities and primary care in urban and rural areas.
This will provide support for 17,788 health and fitness centers in 10 high focus countries.
Furthermore, 11,024 health and urban health centers will be established in all states.
Critical care services will be available in all district districts with more than 5 Lakh populations, through exclusive critical care hospital blocks, while the remaining districts will be borne through reference services.
People will have access to various diagnostic services in the public health care system through laboratory networks throughout the country.
Integrated public health laboratories will be established in all districts.
Under Pasmy, a national institution for one health, 4 new national institutions for virology, regional research platforms for WHO South-East Regions, 9 Level III Biosafety Laboratories, 5 new regional disease control centers will be regulated.
Pasman targets to build a disease surveillance system activated by developing supervision laboratory networks at the block, district, regional and national levels, in the metropolitan area.
The integrated health information portal will be extended to all countries / UTS to connect all public health laboratories.
PASMY also aims to operate 17 new public health units and strengthening 33 public health units at entry points, to detect, investigate, prevent, and bring together outbreaks of public health.
It will also succeed in building a trained frontline labor to respond to emergency public health.
Nine medical colleges that will be inaugurated are located in Siddharthnagar District, Salah, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Deoria, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Jaunpur.
8 High School Medicine has been subject to sanctions under a centralized sponsor scheme for “the establishment of a new medical college attached by district / referral hospitals” and 1 medical universities in Jaunpur have been made functional by the state government through its own resources.
Under centralized sponsored schemes, preferences are given to disadvantaged, retreat and aspirational districts.
This scheme aims to increase the availability of health professionals, improve geographical imbalances in the distribution of medical colleges and effectively utilize existing district hospital infrastructure.
Under three phases of schemes, 157 new medical colleges have been approved throughout the country, where 63 medical colleges have worked.
Anandiben Governor Patel, Chair of Yogi Adityanath Minister and Minister of Health of the Mansukh Mandaviya will also be present during the event.
