Lucknow: The day after noted the lowest covid singleday of three cases, the number rose to two digits (13 cases) on Sunday.
Active cases that fall below 100-mark also rose to 103 in the last 24 hours.
The state now has 20% of the adult population that fulfills the requirements fully vaccinated while 65% have received at least one dose of vaccine.
Of the 13 cases, Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar and Sitapur recorded two cases on Sunday, while 41 districts did not have active cases.
At present, 12.54 crore people have been vaccinated including 2.95 crores that have received both doses.
To further accelerate vaccination, the state government on Sunday announced the adoption of ‘cluster model 2.0’ from 1 November to increase the second dose coverage.
ACS, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said, “In addition to the current strategy, efforts are needed to achieve the desired target.
Providing priority in full vaccination, the work of applying the second dose using a cluster 2.0 model must be carried out in villages / areas where the first dose is successful Managed through a cluster model.
“Through a cluster model, the villages will be divided into several categories based on their vaccination status and villages that have completed both doses will be called ‘Covid Safe Village.’ Based on vaccination assessment by Lekhpal, all villages will be divided into three categories – it is by 95% or more vaccination first dose, the first dose vaccination of 80-95%, andl ess than 80% of the first dose vaccination.
On this list, vaccination will be prioritized.
