Steve Smith ignored the concerns of an elbow injury that was attached to limit his effectiveness in the ash series against England and said he enjoyed the return of Ben Stokes to Cricket International.
Stokes added to the England team for ash on Monday after initially left from the list because he continued to recover from the mental health problem that had ruled it since June.
But Smith welcomed the all-rounder inclusion for a very anticipated series, scheduled to start on December 8 in Brisbane.
“It’s good that he is now available,” Smith said.
“Whenever someone returns (mental health problems) it is a great thing and we are happy to fight the best players, so happy to see it will be on the plane.” I think any team is more dangerous when you have someone like Ben Stokes playing.
“It certainly adds a lot to their depths, but we are happy and I am happy personally that he can return to playing cricket.
It makes a very good series.” Stokes has also dealt with a finger injury that requires operation and which makes it out of the Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
Smith is currently in the bay that participates in the competition even though there is a problem with his left elbow, but the former Australian captain believes he will have some fitness worries during the ash series.
“(My elbow) is in a good place, it feels very good,” Smith said.
“I continued with my strength and my rehabilient items, so I felt like I was going well and developed well, so I didn’t have real worries (for ashes).” After Britain’s speculation will not send a full power squad to Australia because of ash because of the strict state pandemic regulations, Smith hopes to face a strong side led by Captain Joe Root.
“It always decision they want to come out or not, but we always want to have all the best players playing in the ash series,” he said.
“That’s what this is for a cricketer of Australia or England.
This is the main tournament in the long format of the game for us.” We are excited about this summer, hoping to see some many people back in Australia and hopefully have very successful cricket summer.
