Agartala: The Center has sanctioned the Full National Forenic University (NFSU) University in Tripura and forensic studies to the postgraduate level will begin in the current academic session on the temporary campus here, the Minister of Higher Education Lal Nath said on Tuesday.
NFsu will initially hold an academic activity at the old B college building in the Buddhamandir area here, told reporters.
Notifications to enter the proposed institute have been issued for the academic year of 2021-22 and the recruitment of the faculty, officials said.
Four courses – b.sc and M.Sc in forensic science (a five-year integrated course), M.Sc in forensic science, M.Sc in digital forensics, information security and M.Sc in cyber security will be offered at the Institute, they said .

“The central government has approved the state government proposal to establish a National Forensic Science University in Tripura and the process of establishing a university has begun.
Waiting for full campus development in the Srinagar area here, an academic course up to Master Degree will soon be started in the current academic session” , said Nath.
The delegation of three members of the central government was led by the Deputy Chancellor of NFsu, Gujarat, Prof.
J M Vyas met with the chairman of the Minister of Biplab Kumar Deb here on Monday.
The state government has ventured 49.2 hectares in the Srinagar area to establish a permanent campus.
RS 100 Crore will be invested for NFSU, the Tripura campus in the first phase, officials said.
Minister of Home Union Amit Shah will inaugurate the Institute here in the last week of November, the officials said.
